Easter morning before church . . . starting off early with candy.

Easter morning, we all got up early and had to be at church a little before 8 a.m. because Tom and I were doing the special music that morning. We had breakfast and managed to get ready without rushing (amazing) and enjoyed our time at church. Tom was a bit under the weather, but his voice managed to hold out for two services (thanks God).

We all took a rest in the afternoon and then family came over for dinner in the evening. The weather was gloomy doomy (big surprise) so our Easter egg hunt was in the house, but the kids didn't seem to mind. This day of gloomy doomy weather bothered me more than any other day so far because I kept thinking of Tom's parents beautiful yard in H.B. and missing our time on Easter each year with them in their great yard!

Sage loved running around and looking for eggs and Molly walked (yes walked) to find most of her eggs. She kept trying to open them all and eat the candy, of course. It sure was cute to watch!

The older girls (Sage and Providence) did a craft with Aunt Patti and Sage was able to tell her all about her resurrection eggs. Yea! She only got one wrong - the 30 pieces of silver that Judas receive when he betrayed Jesus - she always thinks it's for the woman who gave all the money she had as her offering. (Not a bad thing to learn, just not the right one for the egg.) I'm so proud of how much she learned about the cross and resurrection of Jesus this Easter season.

At the end of the evening around 7 p.m. the sun came out for a few minutes and there was a beautiful full rainbow. What a nice way to end the day (and to hear Sage tell us that a rainbow was God's promise that He would never again flood the earth.)
